Robin class visited Bishops Palace to see our winning entry into the Eco Art Competition. The theme was 'Christmas Carols' and we won the award for Creative Interpretation of the Theme. Each class created 3D sculptures of the characters from different Christmas Carols, each singing their own song. We took inspiration from the artist Robert Bradford who recycles and reuses unusual objects to create art.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 performed Whoops-a-Daisy Angel, which tells the story of the birth of baby Jesus. The children were amazing, confidently using their acting skills and musical talent to put on a wonderful performance. This work links to the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum through Expressive Arts and Design and Music, as well as English, by developing speaking, listening and performance skills. It also supports Religious Education, helping pupils to understand and retell a key Christian story, while building confidence, creativity and teamwork.

On Monday 1st December, Mrs Duggan led collective worship and introduced Advent and the meaning of the 5 candles we light in the lead up to Christmas. We also recognised Christingle, a Christian celebration that uses an orange with a candle to symbolise Jesus as the "Light of the World".
November 2025
Buzzard class led our Remembrance Day service in church. Parents and members of the local community joined us for the service and the laying of the wreath around the cenotaph. Robin class made poppy decorations to display in the church.
Our New School Prayer
Our new school prayer has been written by our pupils. Over several collective worship sessions, the whole school came together to share ideas and reflect on what our values mean to us. Together, we created meaningful words of thanks and gratitude, linking our school values with the things that are most important in our community.
