To enrich our Science curriculum, we hosted a special ‘Growing Together’ afternoon, inviting parents to join their children in a shared celebration of science learning across the school. Each classroom offered exciting opportunities to explore a different scientific theme through hands-on investigation.

In Robin Class, children explored the science of rainbows, discovering creative ways to make them using light, reflection, water, movement and food dye. The hall was transformed into a space-themed hub, where families worked together on challenges such as choosing suitable materials to repair space gloves and safely landing a Lego spaceship using pushing and pulling forces.

In Woodpecker Class, children tested how far different paper aeroplane designs would fly, while Buzzard Class focused on the human body, measuring, investigating and thinking carefully about how our bodies work.

It was wonderful to welcome so many families, and we are incredibly grateful for their support in making the afternoon such an engaging and memorable celebration of science.
