We have squeezed so much into this term, and really focused in on our written presentation, and working as a team.

What fun we've had exploring Narnia in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Woodpecker Class have created portal stories that also tied in with our History topic of Victorians. Alongside studying this amazing book we have being trying really hard to develop our handwriting skills and our grammar skills, as well as putting lots of effort into our spellings.

We enjoyed learning about what our school was like in the Victorian era and how the classrooms and office looked different at that time. In Design and Technology we spent a whole day designing and building castles. These structures had battlements, drawbridges, a portcullis and many had turrets too, using our work on creating 3D shapes from nets to give our models rigidity.

In maths, we have finished off our decimal topic and finished on the topic of money. This is such an exciting topic for us and a really useful life skill. We have been collecting data in computing, first recording how many birds visited our garden and then recording the temperature and noise levels in each class.

Science has been one of our favourite areas to study; digestion! We enjoyed the demonstration of how food moves through the body and looked at teeth brushing.

In PE we have thoroughly enjoyed our term of rounders, and are going to play against Buzzard Class next term. We also had some top lap numbers at the sponsored walk, which was wet but brilliant fun.
