SIAMS stands for Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools, a system that evaluates how effectively a Church school’s Christian vision enables pupils and staff to flourish.

SIAMS is a special type of inspection for Church of England and Methodist schools, required by national education law under Section 48 of the 2005 Education Act.

Its primary purpose is to assess how a school’s theologically rooted Christian vision influences leadership, relationships, curriculum, collective worship, and religious education, and how this vision supports the overall flourishing of pupils and adults.
