Mr. Newland teaches KS2 French with interactive lessons including songs and games to support their learning. 

At the end of each year, Year 5 and 6 perform a well-known story to parents and the rest of our school entirely in French.

Duolingo is a language app. You can learn vocabulary, conjugation, reading, writing, pronunciation, and listening skills on the app in a way that is competitive and fun.

We were treated to the Year 6 French play yesterday afternoon—a wonderfully creative retelling of The Three Little Pigs in their own unique style!

It was absolutely fantastic. The story was easy to follow, regardless of how much French we knew, and it was clear how much hard work had gone into the performance.

A huge thank you to Year 6 and Mr Newland for all their efforts. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and the children’s French speaking was truly impressive. Bravo to everyone involved!
