At Chewton Mendip School our vision is for all pupils to actively engage in activities that will inspire them to fulfil their potential by extending and enriching their opportunities.
This year students have been able to try out karate, skateboarding, rock climbing, graffiti art, chess, drama and willow craft to name a few.
We offer high quality opportunities and activities outside the usual curriculum. These activities are an important and exciting feature of school life and contribute enormously to our pupils’ social and academic development. We believe all pupils should experience a range of opportunities beyond the classroom to encourage success. This gives them the confidence to tackle those parts of school they find more difficult.
There is an extensive menu of extra-curricular activities on offer including the more ‘traditional’ activities alongside those that are a little more unusual. This year pupils have been able to try out karate, skateboarding, rock climbing, graffiti art, chess, drama and willow craft to name a few.
These activities run alongside the use of our outdoor swimming pool and our own forest school programme. Pupils also attend many trips throughout the year to further enrich the curriculum and fire their imaginations.
Please contact us if you are interested in learning about the full range of activities on offer 2014-2015.
